Mattracks Once Again Make the Big Screen in the Summer Blockbuster “Inception”

“Inception” the latest sci-fi action movie that debuted at #1 in recent weeks starring Leonardo DiCaprio also marks the return of Mattracks to the big screen. During a sequence in the movie shot on a snowy mountain top, the characters battle it out with a heavily armed Mattracks equipped HMMWV. The Mattracks equipped H1 cruises over the snow in a chase involving snowmobiles and gun laden snowboarders; you will have to see the movie to see how the scene ends.

Past Mattracks big screen performances include “Taxi 3” and “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines”. In “Taxi 3” a sequel to the French action comedy series, the main character uses a modified cab that can switch between tires and Mattracks to do battle with a gang of thieves. The movie features snow scenes where the Taxi cruises over the snow with ease on tracks.

In the “Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines” Mattracks worked directly with Stan Winston Studios to develop custom tracks and the base drive units for 5 full sized T1 robots used in the movie. The special development project was held in secret for over a year until the release of the movie.

To catch Mattracks movie appearance go see “Inception” which is currently showing at theaters across the country.
